dud..i want to make them too..first, i hope you understand that dreads are not only a new ';look'; but the new way of living..you must know that not all people like them.....many of them thinks they are filthy and.....but, i'm not interested in that kind of ';people';...about making them...you must first choose witch type of dreads do you want cause there are many...and you must know if your hare texture is write to do them(hope is). when you want dreads you should keep your hare as clean as possible! you don't want buggies in your hair or something like that....but you shouldn't wash your hare with ordinary shampoo!!! that is the worst for the dreads!! in time they will look.....bljuh....go to the dreadhead and you will find everything you want to know....oh,and one more thing....neglect dreads are he worst type of them...(the way to do them is just not to wash your hair or anything....in that case, those ';people'; are write about them being filthy..) i think somebody with neglect dreads don't deserve them at all. the best thing will be your friend help you with dreads cause if you're going to make them your self you'll get sore hands and it will take more time....put on some Reggie music, ';invite'; your friend and start them.....and thank your buddy cause he/she is in worst position,hehe...luck!! best wishes! dreadgirlWhat the best way to start dreads and how do you take care of them? a relaxer never grows out, as your new hair grows in the relaxer part will break off because of the different textures. you can either go to the salon to have them do it, or you can start them with coils, two strand twist, or kinky twist with synthetic hair. if you do not wish to cut your real hair it is best to start with two strand or kinky twist. with the two strand twist as your new growth grows in you just twist that hair in one direction, as you would if you were retwisting dreads, you get your relaxed ends trimmed gradually as your hair grows in. kinky twists are the same way, except you keep the kinky twist in until you have the desired lock length you are most comfortable with, then you take the twists out and cut off all of the relaxed hair. to start with coils you will have to have all of your relaxed hair off
